The Lynwood Rotary Club was chartered in 1936: Club members and officers devote time and money to activities that benefit young people, senior citizens, and those in need. The Club undertakes projects independently or in collaboration with other organizations. We support students from Lynwood High School and Hosler Middle School through the Interact and Youthact clubs that are part of Rotary international's Youth Service projects.

Lynwood Rotary Club's Focus Activities: In addition to a full schedule of educational programs and social activites, Lynwood Rotary Club is committed to the highest levels of community service.

Community and Vocational Service:

SCHOLARSHIPS: Every year Lynwood Rotary Club provides scholarships to students at Lynwood high School and other deserving students in the community.

INTERACT CLUB: Firebaugh and Pathway High Schools

YOUTHACT CLUB: Roosevelt Elementary

Interact and Youthact clubs are like mini-Rotary clubs. They work with our support and guidance and conduct their meetings and community work just like we do. On average they have about 50 members, who receive first-hand experience in leadership and community work at a very young age.

COVID-19: When disasters occur, Lynwood Rotary steps into action. Call us to learn how you can help.

POLICE AND FIRE DEPARTMENT RECOGNITION: Recipients chosen by Lynwood Fire Fighters and Police Officers are honored and awarded at a special ceremony organized by our club.

SPEECH AND ART AWARDS: We sponsor students from Lynwood High School to the District Speech and Art contests, where they can win recognition and exciting prizes.

LITERACY: Donation of books to local elementary schools through the Lynwood Unified School District literacy program. Rotarians read to children in Lynwood elementary schools.

INTERNATIONAL SERVICE: From time to time we participate in International literacy projects to help provide free education to needy children around the world.
