At the November 13 meeting, members and guest heard Felipe Velásquez, President of Organización Migrante en el Exterior al servicio de nuestros conciudadanos, talk about the planned visit of a college group, named Danza Ritmia Popular, to perform as follows: Friday, December 5, 2:00-3:00pm at Lynwood High School; Saturday, December 6, 7-10pm at St. Emydius Church, and Sunday, December 7, at Plaza Mexico, time to be determined. The group members are students at the Universidad Autónima de Baja California, at the Tijuana Campus. Felipe mentioned that donations for the costs of transportation, lodging, and food are needed, as well as donations of food. Daniel encouraged Felipe to return to the next two meetings to provide a brief update on the three days of planned performances.

Also, before the speaker, Daniel encouraged everyone who has not donated items for the Youthact fundraising project through the opportunity drawing for the Thanksgiving Family Baskets, to contact Tila or Fernando Millan. In particular he encouraged a donation of gift cards from restaurant's, such as Mc Donald's, Carl's, and Subway.

Daniel also encouraged everyone to volunteer for the Community Work Day organized by Oscar Avila, as a requirement to become a Eagle Scout. The event is Saturday November 15, at Lynwood City Park from 7am-4pm.  Volunteers should wear work clothing suitable for park clean up and painting tasks. Breakfast and Lunch will be served.

Everyone is encouraged to suggest speakers and programs for our weekly meetings.
