On November 27, Thanksgiving Day, there was no meeting. Hopefully Rotary members and Rotary friends from the community enjoyed the day with family and / or friends.

Previously on November 20th, as described in last week's Rotary email update, members and guests heard Mr. J.D. Whitiker, Manager for Parking Enforcement and Manager for Animal Control. J.D.'s informative and very interesting presentation was described in last week's email update. One item not mentioned in the description of J.D.'s presentation was among the extensive new training that J.D. and his staff received for their Animal Control responsibilities, is the importance of recognizing when dogs are showing signs of fear and anger, and this become potentially aggressive and dangerous to their handlers.

Also J.D. suggested that owners should keep small dogs inside all the time, avoiding the problems of small dogs running lose on the streets.

Note: An extra attachment to this weekly update is a flyer for Dance Group Danza Ritmica Popular, which is performing four times this weekend. For further details open attachment. Finally, another event is the Tree Lighting Ceremony at the City Hall front lawn at 5:30p.m. Thursday, December 4.
